Library Sampling

Content Separator

We search for all eligible books in selected library systems across Canada to calculate payments to creators. This process is known as library sampling.

PLR sampling does not attempt to capture the holdings of every public library in Canada. The sample is designed as a regionally-diverse snapshot of library holdings.

Each year, the Public Lending Right Program accesses library catalogue information from a selected group of public library systems across Canada.
