How to register (if you are new to the PLR Program)

pen and paper

Below are the steps on how to register with the PLR Program. Registration forms will be available until May 1, 2025, at midnight. Registrations received with a postmark date outside of the registration period will be returned to you.

You may only register titles that have been published in the last 5 years.

You may register a maximum of 20 new titles per year. The maximum applies to all formats, including print books, e-books and audiobooks. A print book and an e-book are considered as the same title. An audiobook is considered a separate, new title.

Steps

1. Check your eligibility

Before registering, make sure you are eligible for the program.

2. Calculate your percentage share for each title

For each title you plan to register, calculate the percentage share of your contribution.

3. Collect your ISBNs

Make sure you know the ISBN for each title/edition/format. Need help finding your ISBN?

Please note: The PLR Program requires a valid ISBN so that it can search for an audiobook in a public library collection. Audiobooks that do not have an ISBN are not eligible for registration.

4. Make photocopies

For each print and e-book, provide a photocopy of the following pages:

  • Title page (on which your name and the title of the book appear)
  • Copyright page
  • Table of Contents (if available)

For each audiobook, provide a photocopy of the audiobook box cover or bibliographic record (on which you are credited) that shows the ISBN and year of publication.

5. Download and complete the form
